If robbing banks and blowing up police cars sounds like your idea of a good time, you can begin your life of crime in 20th Century Fox Video Games' Bank Heist. As an up and coming bank robber, your objective is to rob as many banks as possible and make a safe getaway before running out of gas. You start the game with five cars and a full tank of gas. But be warned, the police are out to stop you. Luckily, you can knock them off your trail by dropping dynamite out of your tail pipe. And when you disable a police car, another bank appears. Rob nine banks in one city, and you'll get a free refueled car before you move on to the next unsuspecting city. Run into a police car or accidentally blow yourself up, and you'll lose a car. As time counts down, so does the your fuel meter. Run out of fuel and you lose a car.
The city is set up as maze, with three banks located in each town. After you rob one, a police car appears and the pursuit begins. Up to three police cars can chase you at one time. Every bank robbed and police car disabled results in awarded points. The more banks you rob in each town, the more they are worth. Setting the left difficulty switch to 'A' makes the police smarter, and setting the right difficulty switch to 'A' makes the banks appear randomly in the maze.
